đ SUNSHINE NATION⢠â EQUALITY UNDER FIRE, TRUTH UNDER GOD đ
đĽ When you stand for the powerless, the powerful will test your spine.
Iâm Jennifer Gayle Sappington, J.D. â Sunshine Firecrackerâ˘, a Pennsylvania lawyer, writer, and homelessness advocate.
For two years Iâve documented official oppression, selective prosecution, and the criminalization of poverty in Ephrata Borough and Lancaster County.
And when I spoke up? They tried to silence me.

âď¸ THE TIMELINE OF TRUTH
đď¸ Sept 5 2025 â Whistleblower Announcement
I publicly vowed to expose:
⢠Ephrataâs illegal utility-profit transfers
⢠Police misconduct & falsified records
⢠Targeting of advocates for the unhoused
đď¸ Sept 17 2025 â Constitution Day âAtom Bombâ
On the day RBG fought her whole life to honorâthe Constitutionâs promise of Equal ProtectionâI published an exposĂŠ for Charlie detailing how our own officials trample the First, Fifth & Fourteenth Amendments.
đď¸ Sept 18 2025 â Retaliatory Arrest
Twenty-four hours later, District Attorney Heather Adamsâearning $226,411 a year of taxpayer moneyâapproved a false âshopliftingâ charge (under $300) to discredit a woman defending Lancasterâs homeless.
That is retaliation, not justice.
That is official oppression, not law enforcement.
đŞ WHAT THIS FIGHT MEANS
This isnât just about one woman.
Itâs about every citizen denied due process, every mother sleeping in her car, every advocate punished for compassion.
Itâs about a system that treats poverty like a crime and truth like treason.
We cite the law because RBG taught us that the law belongs to the people:
âReal change, enduring change, happens one step at a time.â â Ruth Bader Ginsburg
So we take our stepâtogether.
đ STATUTES & CASE LAW
⢠42 U.S.C. § 1983 â Civil-rights retaliation
⢠18 Pa.C.S. § 5301 â Official Oppression
⢠Martin v. City of Boise (2019) â Homelessness â Crime
⢠Rules 3.8(a-d) â Prosecutors must seek justice, not convictions
đď¸ CALL TO ACTION
đ˘ I call on the:
⢠PA Attorney Generalâs Office
⢠PA State Ethics Commission
⢠U.S. DOJ Civil Rights Division
to open an independent investigation into retaliation, selective prosecution, and misuse of public funds in Lancaster County.
While Heather Adams cashes her $226,411 paycheck, Lancasterâs poor are jailed for being homeless.
That ends when we the people demand better.

According to store staff, the two women came into the store with empty bags, picked up merchandise, and went into the fitting rooms, emerging with full bags.
