In numerous rural communities across Nigeria, children with disabilities remain largely confined to their homes, not as a result of their physical or cognitive limitations, but due to the prevailing social stigma associated with disability.
This is the reality that Assured Steps Charity Foundation continues to address through its outreach initiatives. Our engagement extends beyond the provision of material support; it is grounded in sustained community awareness.
Through direct dialogue with families, we seek to address misconceptions and reinforce the principle that a child with a disability is not a liability to be concealed, but an individual entitled to dignity, visibility, and full participation in the society.
Until this understanding is firmly established across all communities, the Foundation remains committed to this advocacy.
