We’re very excited to share with you that our after school children clubs start again THIS SEPTEMBER!

💛🌷🌟🧙🌳

Our creative, friendly and exciting clubs will be back in September, every Tuesday and Thursday-3.30 to 6 pm! We start on the 4th and 9th of September and will go all the way to Xmas! An afternoon of movement and crafts and some great snacks too.

Our theme for the term is LANDSCAPES. There is so much to discover. The architecture of cities, the openness and flatness of deserts, the extravagance of jungles, peaks and drops of mountains, not to mention the landscape of the body itself.

These are aimed at. 5-9 year olds but let us know if you’d like to discuss suitability. Pick up from Stillness Primary School is included but we also do pick ups from other local primaries so do get in touch to check availability.

Reset is taught by Rosie and Galit, who between them have over 30 years experience in dance, performance and teaching. This workshop is for everyone and will open with movement inspired by moving meditations and the Ilan Lev Method and lead toward joyful, full bodied movement, set to a wicked soundtrack to awaken your whole being.

💫 New Teacher Spotlight 💫

We are so happy to announce that the lovely Felicity Wright is returning to Soma this week! She will be teaching on Tuesday mornings. 9.30 Vinyasa Flow and 10.45 Bring Your Baby to Vinyasa.

Felicity is a Kiwi, mother of two, living and working in London.

Felicity moved to the UK in 2007 to pursue a career in Musical Theatre. She first came to yoga after picking up a
performance injury and also found it a good way to keep ‘show fit’ in between roles. After sometime she began to notice something deeper happening within - she felt more balanced, fitter & stronger physically, yes, but more importantly felt mentally stronger and more content. It was then she decided to do her training and become a teacher.
Felicity began her training in 2013 with The Yoga People where she studied Ashtanga Vinyasa Flow Yoga in the traditional Primary Series and Rocket. After a few years of teaching a dynamic style she qualified as a Prenatal and Postnatal yoga instructor and more recently she completed her training in Yin.
Felicity teaches a range of styles from the fast-paced dynamic and powerful through to a more introspective practice, which can cultivate grounding and stillness. She specialises in working prenatal and postnatal women and feels privileged to be able to work alongside mums during this special time.

Felicity has taught all over London, the UK and New Zealand.

💫 New Teacher Spotlight 💫

We are so happy to have Christie joining the Soma team!

In a faced paced city like London, space is key to bring calm. Christie’s classes start slow, easing you into the space and offering anchors to help ground yourself in the present moment. Influenced by her teachers of both Seasonal Yoga and Mandala Vinyasa, Christie’s classes will help bring meaning to movement. Her flows are rooted in the ethos of living in tune with seasonal change, as well as with the four basic elements - Earth, Fire, Water and Air. You can expect dynamic transitions and assisted alignment cues, always to the beat of a delicately curated playlist that will allow you to wind out of the mind and into the body. Whether you find yourself practising Vinyasa, Mandala, or Yin with Christie, you’ll leave feeling present, lighter, and in tune with your own rhythm.

Christie will be teaching Vinyasa Flow at 7.45 am on Tuesdays, Rocket at 6.45 pm on Wednesdays and Yang to Yin at 8pm on Wednesdays.

💫 New Teacher Spotlight! 💫

We are so happy to be welcoming Amena Zaman to our Soma Space team!

Amena is a yoga teacher, artist and consultant in the Womens sector. She will be teaching Vinyasa Flow and Restorative Yoga at 6.45 and 8 pm on Wednesdays until the 23rd October and will be starting a new Flow to Restore session at 7pm on Mondays (from the 4th November.)

Amena trained as a dancer in the 1990s and found yoga in India in 2003. In 2022 she completed her 200hr Vinyasa training, 50hr Mandala and last year added her 50hr Rocket training.

Amena has a long history of facilitating and working with a wide range of communities in various settings. She is a great believer in fostering environments that are loving, supportive and judgement free. Amena is active in encouraging everyone to work with their own rhythms and needs and practice in a way that primarily makes them feel safe and comfortable.

Amena’s teaching focuses on inclusivity, offering modifications to ensure accessibility for all. She teaches through a trauma-informed lens which is influenced by her life and professional work experiences. Her classes are relaxed, explorative and informal.

🌞 Summer Holiday Camp 2024 Recap!

What an unforgettable summer it’s been! With fun-filled days of creative workshops, we saw so much growth, laughter, and new friendships made. Seeing these kids explore, learn, and shine was the highlight of our summer!
