The stories we tell ourselves shape the choices we make.

One of mine has been that I’m not allowed to take up space.

I’m becoming more aware of that narrative and practicing changing it, one small step at a time.

Posting this Reel is one of those steps. ❤️

What story have you been telling yourself that’s you’d like to rewrite?

You know you want to make a change.

Let’s say you want to leave your partner, your job, or you want to move to a new neighborhood.

But before you do, you want to know EXACTLY what happens next.

So you research, plan, and make list after list. You ask everyone you know what they think, and you run through every possible scenario in your head. You couldn’t possibly make this change before calculating every possible outcome.

Maybe you scroll through dating apps to make sure there are other people out there before leaving the relationship you know isn't right.

But what you’re actually doing is trying to eliminate the unknown or control the outcome.

There’s a reason we do this.

Our brains LOVE predictability. When we know what’s coming, we can prepare. We can remove the discomfort and fear that comes with the unknown.

And we try to make the unknown known.

But here’s the problem.

We can’t predict every variable or control every outcome. And sometimes trying to eliminate uncertainty is the very thing that keeps you stuck.

How could you know what it feels like to live in San Francisco while you’re still living in DC? How could you know how strong you are on your own while you’re still in a relationship that isn't working? How could you know what opportunities will come your way after leaving a job while you're still sitting at your desk?

🎯 Some answers are only available on the other side of the decision.

I’m not saying to make a willy-nilly decision without thinking it through. Making a big change may require sitting with some major discomfort. But not having all the answers doesn’t mean you’re not ready to move forward. Sometimes, not knowing is simply part of the process of getting what you really want.

I want to talk about relief, and the wisdom that emotion holds. đź’—

Yesterday I announced I’m shifting my business from T1D coaching to general life coaching. Before I told anyone, I sat with that decision for a week, just to see how it felt.

I felt relief.

Sometimes decisions aren’t so simple, and in that silence, confusion comes up too (which is also just more information!). If you’re wrestling with a decision, I’d love to help. Link in bio to set up a free call. 💕

The T1D Tapping Circle is this Wednesday, and here are a few things I want you to know:

đź’— No experience is necessary. I'll guide you through every tapping point and every word.

đź’— You don't have to share. You're welcome to stay on mute the entire time. Sharing is always optional.

đź’— Camera on or off. Some people find it easier to follow along with their camera on, while others prefer to keep it off. Either way is completely welcome.

đź’— Set aside this hour for yourself. The experience is most powerful when you can be fully present without multitasking.

If you've been curious but weren't quite sure what to expect, I hope this helps.

We're taught how to care for the physical side of T1D... For one hour, let's care for the emotional side, too.

I'd love to have you join us on Wednesday, July 15th at 1:00 PM ET.

P.S. If you're a parent or loved one of someone living with T1D, please pass this along if you think someone in your life could benefit

One thing about EFT tapping is that it's hard to describe until you've experienced it.

So instead of trying to explain it, I thought I'd let others do it for me.

I ran a small pilot T1D Tapping Circle to test the concept. Here's what participants shared…

🔹 "That resonated more than meditation ever did for me — maybe tapping is more ADHD-friendly!"
🔹 "I didn't realize how much tension I was carrying around my eyes and face."
🔹 "It felt almost meditative."
🔹 "I didn't realize how much I push difficult thoughts away."

You don't have to believe me.

Come experience it for yourself.

The first T1D Tapping Circle is Wednesday, July 15th at 1:00 PM ET, and after that, we'll meet on the third Wednesday of every month.

đź’— It's free. It's virtual. No experience necessary.

From the day we're diagnosed, we're taught how to care for the physical side of Type 1 Diabetes.

But who teaches us what to do with the fear, frustration, burnout, and overwhelm that come with it?

I'm launching something new, and I'd love for you to join me.

🫶 It's called the T1D Tapping Circle.

It's a free monthly virtual gathering where we use EFT tapping to help take the edge off the emotional side of living with T1D. Come every month or simply join whenever your schedule allows.

It's not a webinar or a support group. It's an experiential hour of community-based support using EFT tapping.

I know it may sound a bit "woo-woo," but I promise it's a surprisingly powerful tool that can take the edge off frustration, overwhelm, or whatever emotion you're carrying right now.

The first circle is Wednesday, July 15th at 1:00 PM ET, and after that, we'll meet on the third Wednesday of every month

No experience necessary. Cameras are optional. All you have to do is show up.

đź’— I'd love to have you there.

Have you ever caught yourself thinking, "Diabetes is so hard."
..only to immediately follow it with...

"But at least..." or "But I'm so grateful for..."

As humans, we do this all the time. We give ourselves just enough space to acknowledge how we really feel, and then we quickly shift to the positive.

But the truth is, T1D IS hard. It's frustrating. It's relentless.

When we don't allow ourselves to honor those feelings, they don't just disappear. They often show up in other ways, like stress eating, snapping at the people we love, or simply feeling constantly on edge.

🫶 This is the beauty of EFT tapping

It gives us permission to honestly acknowledge how we're feeling while gently tapping on acupressure points that help calm the body. That combination can reduce the emotional weight of living with T1D.

Even more magical, when you tap in a group, you realize you're not alone. You feel seen, heard, and understood by a community that simply gets it.

đź’— I'd love for you to join me for the first T1D Tapping Circle on Wednesday, July 15th at 1:00 PM ET

After that, we'll meet on the third Wednesday of every month. Register once to receive reminders, then join whenever your schedule allows.

It's free. It's virtual. No experience necessary.

I'd love to see you there!

If you live with Type 1 Diabetes, I don't need to tell you how hard it is.

You already know the mental, emotional, and physical load you're carrying.

What you may not realize is what happens when you push those feelings aside so you can keep going.

Over time, that weight doesn't just disappear. It can show up as tension in your body, being constantly on high alert, or feeling completely and utterly burned out and exhausted.

🫶 That's what inspired me to create the T1D Tapping Circle, a free monthly virtual session where we come together to process the emotional side of living with T1D. We'll be using EFT tapping, a simple stress-reduction technique that helps calm the body while acknowledging how you're feeling.

Our first circle is Wednesday, July 15th at 1:00 PM ET, and this month's topic is Diabetes Burnout.

If you've ever thought, "I'm so tired of having diabetes," this one's for you.

đź’— It's free. It's virtual. No experience necessary. I'd love to have you there!
