Wet and dry cupping both use suction but the process is different. Dry cupping does not break the skin, while wet cupping involves superficial skin pricks and therefore requires especially careful infection-control practices.
Cupping can be a supportive wellness practice, but it is not a replacement for medical diagnosis or care. Speak with a qualified health professional if you have a medical condition, take blood-thinning medication, or are pregnant.
