You know exactly what you should be doing and yet still struggle to do it consistently - eating protein, sticking to the nighttime routine or consistently lifting weights.

And in your mind is a never ending loop of:
‘I’m not consistent’
‘I need to be more disciplined.’
‘I’m terrible at sticking to things.’
‘I always fall off.’
‘I’m just not that person.’

And then every time you try to change, you’re fighting against the story you’ve been telling yourself for years about who you are.

This is why I don’t believe lasting change is just about finding the perfect plan or trying harder.

It starts with the way you see yourself.

Because when your actions become consistent with the person you believe you are, you don’t have to constantly force yourself to do the things.

They start to feel less like something you have to make yourself do and more like something you just do.

If you’re ready to understand what’s actually keeping you stuck and start creating change that lasts, book a call with me. We’ll talk about where you are, where you want to go, and whether working together makes sense.

Consistency isn’t your problem. The story you’ve attached to it is.

Because whether it’s something you should be doing or something you shouldn’t be doing, you’re still doing it consistently.

Cooking and eating.

In my greedy era.

You keep trying to fix the effect without looking at the cause.

‘What do you mean?’ you ask?

You gain weight 👉🏾 you cut calories.
You feel tired 👉🏾 you drink more coffee.
You have cravings 👉🏾 you try to have more willpower.
You don’t see results 👉🏾 you change your plan.

You keep having a knee jerk reaction to the effects without looking at what created them in the first place.

So ask yourself, “what is happening before the thing I’m trying to fix?”

Because when you understand the cause, you can actually change the pattern.

And when you change the pattern, you get a very different effect.

That’s the deeper work.

I reached that point in my life, like everyone does, where you realize ‘I want more.’
You may not be able to put it into words but I bet you know what it feels like.
I knew I wanted more freedom, more love, more choice, more joy.

But the gap between where all of that lived and where I was felt insanely wide.
The real question became ‘is t wide or do I just need to shift my perspective?’

Because my goals were very clear. I knew exactly what I wanted to set up for myself.

I wanted to create a life that I loved, not one that I needed a vacation from.
I wanted a home that made my nervous system completely at ease.
I wanted to live in anticipation of the next best thing and not worst case scenario.

The scariest part isn’t quitting the 9-5 and giving up the ‘security’.
The scariest part is deciding that you’ll go all in, believe that you’re worthy and trust that it will work out.

Even when you don’t know the ‘how’.
Even when everything feels chaotic.
Even when the results are slow or non-existent.

So I choose to be ridiculously delusional and I’d say it’s working out pretty damn good.

If you’re curious on how to create a life you love and full of freedom, I wrote about it in my *new* substack article.

Your standards are tied to your identity, not your mood.

Every time you negotiate with yourself and your standards, you slowly start becoming someone you can’t trust.
A standard isn’t something you keep when motivation is high. It’s something you hold when it’s inconvenient.

When you keep negotiating with that standard you lose momentum and strengthen the identity that’s keeping you stuck.

And the moment you stop negotiating with your standards is the moment your life starts changing.

You’ll get different results by requiring more from yourself.

At the end of the day, your standards set the ceiling for your entire life.
