World Physiotherapy SAR Región Sudamerica de la World Physiotherapy

World Physiotherapy supports the efforts of Asociación Peruana de Fisioterapia - Aspefisio to secure approval of Law No. 713/2021-CR establishing the Colegio de Fisioterapeutas del Perú.

For more than 10 years, World Physiotherapy has worked alongside its member organisation in Peru to support the creation of a professional association representing physiotherapists, strengthening professional recognition, and supporting the continued development of the profession nationally.

In a letter of support, World Physiotherapy has also encouraged the Peruvian government to include the term “physiotherapy” in the titles of undergraduate degree programmes in Peru.

A los colegas peruanos que este martes se concentrarán en el Congreso: su lucha es la lucha de toda la región. Desde el Comité Ejecutivo Regional los acompañamos con firmeza y orgullo en este plantón histórico, con la absoluta convicción de que la autonomía profesional es un derecho, y el respaldo de la región de World Physiotherapy SAR está con ustedes para exigir que el proyecto sea priorizado de inmediato en el Pleno del Congreso.

The Europe Region of World Physiotherapy held its 15th General Meeting in Pristina, Kosovo, on the 14th and 15th of May 2026. Representatives from 32 Member Organisations attended the meeting.
