It’s buzz’n around here. 💥
Laser hair removal is on fire.
Why? We cannot treat any area exposed to direct sun light for an extended period. This includes an afternoon doing yard work or a long walk with the dog. With or without SPF (please always wear it!)
Why does this cause issues? Laser is attracted to pigment and it really likes fresh pigment. The laser will target your skin instead of your hair follicle, which could lead to blisters and pigmentation issues. The energy also does not absorb into the hair follicle, which leads to a less effective treatment.
Keep the areas out of the direct sun if you plan to continue your laser hair treatments or wait until the fall when exposure is less likely.
