Every breath is precious. Protect it.

This World Lung Cancer Day, let’s raise awareness about one of the most preventable cancers.

✔️ Know the warning signs.

✔️ Say NO to to***co in all its forms.

✔️ Adopt healthy habits that keep your lungs strong.

Early detection and a to***co-free lifestyle can save lives. If you experience persistent cough, coughing up blood, unexplained weight loss, breathlessness, or chest pain, don’t ignore the symptoms—seek medical advice promptly.

“Lung cancer is preventable in many cases and treatable when detected early. Avoid to***co, recognize the warning signs, and never delay seeking medical attention. Every timely step can save a life”, says HBCHRC Punjab Director Dr. Ashish Gulia.

At Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital & Research Centre, Punjab, comprehensive screening, diagnosis, and advanced treatment for lung cancer are available under one roof.

Together We Stand Strong Against Sarcoma đź’›

As part of Sarcoma Cancer Awareness Month, Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital & Research Centre, Punjab, organised a Patient Support Group Meeting in its New Chandigarh campus, that brought together patients, caregivers, doctors, and healthcare professionals on a common platform of hope, awareness, and support. The session was organized by the hospital’s Department of Bone and Soft Tissue and the Department of Medical Social Services.

The event was filled with inspiring moments as patients shared their personal journeys, interacted with experts, celebrated life by cutting a cake, and participated in joyful cultural activities, reminding everyone that cancer does not define a person's spirit.

Sarcoma is a rare type of cancer that can affect the bones or soft tissues. Early diagnosis and timely treatment can make a significant difference in outcomes. Through such initiatives, HBCHRC Punjab continues to empower patients with knowledge, emotional support, and access to comprehensive cancer care.

While interacting with the patients and their caregivers, Director Dr. Ashish Gulia said, “Sarcoma may be rare, but awareness should never be. Recognising the early warning signs and seeking timely medical attention can save lives. At Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital & Research Centre, Punjab, we are committed to providing comprehensive, multidisciplinary treatment for sarcoma using advanced technologies and evidence-based care. Along with medical treatment, we believe emotional support and patient engagement play a vital role in the healing journey. Together, we can fight sarcoma with awareness, hope, and compassion.”
