31/07/2026

Do you love spending time with your horse, but find anxiety, worry or overthinking keeps getting in the way?

Perhaps you've been doing more groundwork, confidence exercises or training with your horse, working on your own mindset hoping things will finally click...

But what if the missing piece isn't another exercise for your horse—but a different way of breathing for you?

The way we breathe can influence how calm, focused and in control we feel.

Many people don't realise that poor breathing patterns can contribute to feelings of anxiety and keep the body in a heightened state of stress.

I've created a FREE Mini Guide to help you:
🐴 Understand the connection between breathing and anxiety.

🐴 Learn why your breathing may be keeping you stuck.

🐴 Try simple breathing exercises to help you feel calmer and more in control.

If you're ready to discover whether breathing is the missing piece, download your FREE guide today.

Monday Mantra

“I allow myself to take things one moment at a time”

Focusing on our breath can bring us back into the present moment 💕

If you have a difficult moment this week take time out to focus on your breath 🫁

Inhaling and exhaling gently through the nostrils 👃🏻

Calming thinking ‘inhale’ as you breathe in, and ‘exhale’ as you breathe out ✨.

Keep repeating until you feel calm and centred 🧘🏻‍♀️

Have a harmonious week 🙏🏻💗✨ 🐎

Breathe in Clarity 🕊️

Breathe out Overthinking🧘🏻‍♀️

Poor breathing habits can contribute to overthinking, rumination of the mind and racing thoughts. Learning how to correct our breathing means we can improve blood flow to our brain, reducing anxiety and improve focus and concentration. This can lead to a better quality of life and more peaceful moments with our horse🐴

Take a moment to centre yourself with some calming breathes to start the week 🙏🏻

Breathing through your nose take a gentle inhale, then a slight pause, and a gentle, longer exhale

Repeat until you feel calmer

Repeat the mantra if it resonates 💓

Have a beautiful week ☀️

Part 2 - Following on from the first 'Assessing your Breathing Video' check out this video to find out what your result shows.

Remember breathing habits can be retrained! 🫁

What can you do if your control pause is low?

✅ Awareness - start by observing your breathing, is it fast, slow, shallow, deep, through the nose or mouth, does it change depending on what you are doing? Awareness is the first step to help implement change

✅ Switch to nose breathing - our nose is designed for breathing through, day and night, many people find that switching to nose breathing supports healthier breathing habits. This is something that can be worked with if you currently have difficulty doing this.

✅ Book a Breathing Assessment & Reset Plan - start to understand your breathing patterns and kick off with new improved breathing habits to get you on the path to wellness.

Part 1: How can I check my own breathing? 🫁

You may have seen the post with symptoms of poor breathing (if not you can check my pinned posts). If some of the signs felt familiar, you might be curious whether your breathing habits are playing a role.

If so, you can try this simple test to explore your own breathing✅

The Control Pause test is a comfortable breath hold time 👃🏻

After a normal exhale, pinch your nose and hold your breath (with your mouth closed) and time until you feel the first sensation in your body that you need to breath ⏱️

Make sure you are sitting upright in a straight backed chair, and have rested for a few minutes before commencing the test (and are comfortable with holding your breath!) 🪑

When you resume breathing your breathing rate should be the same as when you started 🤗

Stay tuned for the next video to find out what your result means! If you can't wait - get in touch! 🙌🏻
