Some misinformation has been circulating around a recent recall. dōTERRA is doing the recall on the three items picture.

First, let me assure you that there is absolutely nothing wrong with these oils. They are safe to use as intended. The recall is related to the bottles lacking a safety cap. In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”), DoTerra is recalling these products.

The products contain a substance which must be in child resistant packaging as required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act (PPPA). The roller bottle is designed to dispense a very small amount of the product; however, the cap is not child resistant. The risk is the contents somehow being applied to the skin or swallowed, in large amounts, by young children.

DoTerra is working on rectifying the issue and is developing a solution for a safety cap for the roller bottles.

If this is a concern for you please immediately store the products in a safe location, out of reach of children, until the products can discarded, returned or replaced. You may choose to contact customer service and arrange to send back the products. They will send you out a replacement.

If this doesn’t pertain to your household and you are comfortable using as intended, feel free to continue to roll it on!

One of my favorite breakfast when we are visiting our little home on Kauai - fresh fruit and Greek yogurt flavored with essential oil. I also make sure that I always have essential oil in my water bottle (metal or glass bottles). I love tangerine, grapefruit, orange or lemon in my yogurt. Green Mandarin (as in the photo) is something just a little different to try in your water bottle.

I find this very helpful in supporting overall health. I use it daily along with my Life Long Vitality packs.
