We are all human!
I’m sorry. I’m sorry I didn’t realize how painful. I listened to sharing his story (deeply emotional) on The Late Late Show and through his tears I felt the pain. A deep cutting pain that has lasted there for generations.. generation to generation and generation, the suppression that has been felt, the speech of freedom that didn’t exist, inability to be, to simply be a human and be accepted as one, having the same rights as everyone else. Thank you for sharing! 🙏🏼 Sometimes we think, if we didn’t experience this directly, it didn’t affect us or affected us less. Truth is - it did and it does! The history (hi-story), our generational story, is carried in our tissue in our cells and is brought over to the next generation hence sometimes rage or anger stays so persistant and we can recognize it easily because our grandparents acted the way we act now until we choose to change. Each of us as an individual, young or old, have a choice to stop 🛑. To stop following the pattern of our ancestors who chose racism, to stop calling each other by color, to change the way we see each other. We are all human! We have so many other characteristics we can be recognized for. Why color? Why there has to be a white person, a black person, a yellow or a brown person? Why can’t there just be a person? A human (hue - color, man - being) = a colorful being. This word alone explains how we are meant to be - we are meant to be colorful! Let’s accept it. Accept that color is part of being a human. It’s not to separate one from another but to unite one another. Come together as one as the word “human” explains itself.
🖤🤍❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤎 - ONE - HUMAN!
