Link Schemes are community-based, volunteer run charities based in Wiltshire & Swindon which aim to improve the quality of life for disadvantaged, elderly or infirm people by providing transport to and from appointments and provide ‘good neighbour’ services.

Our schemes are currently on the lookout for new volunteers, who don’t necessarily have to be drivers, they can assist with the behind-the-scenes work in administration, become trustee or offer ‘good neighbour’ services. Volunteering roles are flexible and can fit around existing commitments. Whether someone can spare a few hours each month or more regular time, their support can have a significant impact.

The NHS App is a simple and secure way to see your health information, such as test results and appointment notes, and find NHS services.

If you are registered at the same Practice, you can apply for Proxy Access to order medication, book appointments, see test results and view medical records on behalf of someone else (with their consent).

Kooth summer support for Swindon young people

A reminder that Kooth is open throughout the summer holidays! Kooth offers free, safe mental wellbeing support for children and young people aged 10-18 across Swindon.

Young people can try our self-help tools, wellbeing resources and activities, and pre-moderated peer community support anytime.

They can also find help through our British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy accredited one-to-one live text chats with Kooth’s (human) team of professionals. The team is available for single sessions:
• from mid-day to 10pm on weekdays
• from 6pm to 10pm at weekends

We understand that out of term time, many young people don’t have access to their usual support networks; our priority is ensuring every young person knows Kooth is here and ready to offer support the moment they need it.
