For the past 25 years, our president and CEO, Linda Thomas-Hemak, has cared for generations of families, taught future physicians, and led The Wright Center’s transformation – advancing a deeply held belief that high-quality, whole-person primary health services should be accessible to all.

Throughout her career, she has worked across every dimension of our mission at once: caring for patients, educating and mentoring learners, and shaping systems that strengthen communities.

Today, we celebrate this extraordinary 25-year milestone and the enduring impact of a leader whose work continues to move The Wright Center forward.

Through our Graduate Medical Education Safety-Net Consortium framework, we continue to advance a model that integrates:

· Whole-person primary and preventive health services
· Interprofessional workforce development
· Community engagement and activation
· Innovation that improves health outcomes

Together, we remain committed to our ambitious vision: becoming America’s leading model for comprehensive primary care with integrated workforce development, and achieving recognition as the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ gold standard for community-based care.

Thank you, Dr. Thomas-Hemak, for 25 years of continuous clinical care, teaching, leadership, and unwavering commitment to improving the health and welfare of our communities while shaping the next generation of physician leaders.

Please join us in congratulating her on this remarkable milestone.

Exceptional care starts with exceptional leaders! 👏

Please join us in congratulating Dr. McKenzie Taylor, a dentist at our community health center in Wilkes-Barre, on being named a 2026 Bloomberg Fellow by the Bloomberg American Health Initiative at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

Dr. Taylor is one of only 60 leaders nationwide – and one of just five selected in a special collaboration with the National Association of Community Health Centers – chosen for this prestigious program.

We are so proud of Dr. Taylor for her dedication to bringing world-training, public health solutions, and compassionate care directly to our patients in Northeast Pennsylvania!
