When I co-founded ClearSK Medi-Aesthetics in 2008, it was the Asian Economic Crisis. Now with God’s grace we’ve expanded overseas to Shanghai, Suzhou and Hangzhou. I love my job, and love giving my all in whatever I undertake. This passion is shared by our international team, who believe in continually upgrading our knowledge and the technology & services offered in our centres. . I started aesthetics in my late 20s when Aesthetics was in its infancy. Over the last 20-odd years I have worked with top international brands like Galderma, Zeltiq, Allergan, Merz, Syneron, Lutronics, Pharma research , as Key Opinion Leaders on their medical technologies as well as to help organise training seminars for young doctors. Pre-Rejuvenation: Starting Before Ageing Starts

Aesthetic medicine is evolving from simply correcting ageing to preventing and slowing it - the concept of pre-rejuvenation — beginning in our mid-20s to 30s, before significant wrinkles, pigmentation, skin laxity or volume loss appear.

The aim is not to make a 25-year-old look younger. It is to preserve what is already youthful.

In Singapore, year-round UV exposure, heat, pollution, stress and lifestyle factors can accelerate collagen breakdown and pigmentation. Early prevention therefore starts with the basics: daily sun protection, good skincare, exercise, nutrition, sleep and healthy lifestyle habits.

Where appropriate, carefully selected aesthetic treatments — such as lasers, collagen-stimulating treatments, energy-based devices or small doses of botulinum toxin — can address early changes before they become established.

But more treatment does not mean better treatment. Young faces should not be overfilled, over-tightened or frozen. Sometimes, the best treatment is no treatment at all.

Pre-rejuvenation also fits naturally into longevity medicine: maintaining our health, function and appearance for as long as possible.

The goal is not to stop ageing, but to age better and more naturally, potentially delaying the need for aggressive procedures or plastic surgery later.
