At the time … I felt like a failure. Like everyone else had the answers long before I had worked out that this was even a question I should have asked myself … but the truth is, so many of us follow this same path. So many of us end up living lives created based on what we thought was expected of us rather than what we truly needed or wanted. If resonate with this too, or if you are asking yourself the same questions right now … just know, you aren’t alone and it’s never too late to take the time to rediscover yourself 🤍✨

If you’ve ever been told you’re too emotional, too sensitive, too intense, or that you need to “stop taking everything on”…

You might not be broken.

You might simply be someone who feels deeply.

For years I thought these things were flaws.

Now I understand they are some of the very things that allow me to guide others through healing and awakening.

✨ Weird things I do:

1. I can often feel someone’s sadness before they’ve said a single word.
2. I walk into a room and instantly know if something feels “off.”
3. Complete strangers tell me their deepest stories within minutes of meeting me.
4. I cry at films, music, sunsets and stories that touch my heart.
5. I often know the answer before I know how I know it.
6. I can sense when someone is carrying grief, even when they’re smiling.
7. I need time alone after being around lots of people.
8. I feel physically uncomfortable when someone isn’t being authentic.
9. I’ve spent my whole life feeling different and never quite understanding why.
10. People often tell me, “I don’t know why I’m telling you this…”

For years I thought these things made me strange.

Now I see them as some of the gifts that allow me to hold space for healing, soul remembrance and divine connection.

Not everyone who experiences these things is a healer.

But many healers and highly sensitive souls will recognise themselves in this list.

💙 Which one resonates most with you?

Friendship is a strange part of healing.

Some people are blessed with friendships that become their safe harbour during life’s storms. The kind of friends who sit beside you in the messy moments. The ones who let you cry, rage, grieve, question everything and still love you through it.

The ones who understand that sometimes you’re not at your best because life is asking everything of you.

Those friendships are a gift.

But not all of us experience friendship that way.

Sometimes healing reveals the places where we’ve accepted less than we deserved.

Sometimes the deeper we move into grief, heartbreak, loss, awakening or transformation, the more we realise who is willing to walk beside us… and who only felt comfortable with the version of us that stayed quiet.

For me, one of the hardest lessons was realising that finding my voice came with consequences.

When you’ve spent a lifetime silencing your needs, your first attempts at expressing hurt, setting boundaries or speaking your truth rarely come out perfectly polished. They come out shaky. Emotional. Human.

And sometimes the people who were comfortable with your silence struggle with your honesty.

Not every friendship survives that.

For a long time, I questioned myself. Wondered if I should have said less. Needed less. Felt less.

But healing has taught me this:

I deserved friendships that showed up.

I deserved friendships that were curious about my pain rather than defensive about it.

I deserved friendships that could hold space for imperfection, just as I held space for theirs.

And so do you.

If you’ve outgrown friendships, if you’ve been left behind during difficult seasons, or if you’ve discovered that some relationships only worked when you abandoned yourself to keep the peace…

I see you.

Not every friendship is meant to last forever.

Some friendships are for a chapter.

Others are for a lifetime.

And sometimes losing the wrong friendships creates space for the right ones to finally arrive.

The ones built on reciprocity, honesty, compassion and grace.

The ones where you never have to shrink yourself to belong. 🤍

PART ONE - I wish I someone had told me about the highs, lows and the in between moments. It would have truly brought me comfort to know I hadn’t done anything wrong, I wasn’t overthinking doing enough to avoid it and know that this was simply a normal experience of awakening
