It began as a platform for my medical and biological Illustration freelance work. As of late however, I am delving into pet portraits. I have decided to try something new (new for business, but not for me as an artist). I will still be doing medical and biological illustration, but I have missed the board work. I don't get to paint much anymore with a busy family. This will give me an excuse to paint. I have grown up with and always loved animals. My parents even tried to get us pigs once (some neighbors didn't approve, go figure). Instead we usually had two dogs at a time, a bird, chinchilla, iguana, rabbits, or we were nursing an abandoned field mouse back to health in one of Dad's hand-crafted cages. Now with my own family we have four fish, Sam the cat, and our latest addition is a puppy, Boo. I can't wait to paint her! So here goes a new adventure, pet portraits.
