Mung beans are great source of plant based protein and is packed with various antioxidants and minerals, sprouting them increases their nutritional value. You dont need sprouting containers or jars for sprouting mung, I sprout mine in a stainless steel/plastic bowl. Take 1 cup of mung bean wash it thoroughly and then add water to the bowl so that the water level is 1 inch above the bean, now cover the bowl with a lid and let it soak overnight, next morning wash the mung bean again and , strain the water completely of any residual water, now cover the lid back and let it sit for a day or two, I let mine sit for 2 days.. ready to go over salads, curry or soup.
