The time is NOW!

HB2251 is heading for Governor Hobbs’ desk, and there is concern it could be vetoed based on cost alone.

I’m asking you to take a few minutes to respectfully reach out and urge her to consider the full impact of this bill — not just the financial estimate, but the real people it affects.

What is the cost of a life? What is the cost of doing nothing?

Today I learned that the cesarean section rate in South Africa is 85%.
Let that sink in.
Why? Apparently if you can prove there is anything wrong with your child up until they are 18 years old, you can sue the OB if you had a vaginal birth. BUT if the OB performed a cesarean they cannot be held liable for any damages because they did everything “life saving.” How screwed up is that?

Thought for the day:

If you put a handful of popcorn into the same pot, into the same oil and heat it all to the exact same temperature, it doesn’t all pop at the exact same moment.

Same with labour, birth and babies.

Be an individual.
