When Susan and I first visioned the Soul Purpose Expansion Retreat we called in awakening women, soulful professionals & wellness gurus.
And that describes exactly the wahine that joined us!

🏝️ 5 days immersed in the exquisite eco-luxury of Dwa Chandra in the heart of Ubud, Bali...

These ladies accepted the invitation, to align more deeply with what their Soul came here to do.

✨ They allowed the deeply spiritual energies of the land, to combine with the teachings shared on retreat, with their own higher guidance to drop them into states of remembering.

Over the 5 days we experienced daily Intune Yoga practice, deep meditation, vision quest, theta healing, gene keys, kundalini yoga, tai chi, transformational somatic trauma release, and magnetic messaging.

✨ We connected into our vision, dharma, Soul purpose.

✨ We explored with compassion what was holding us back, the limiting beliefs, the pain, the trauma, the shadows.

✨ We allowed time and space for what was felt in the body to be acknowledged and released through somatics.

✨ The release provided space for the expansion, stepping into our embodied soulful true self.

All of this witnessed in community that held and supported us, during and after the retreat.

That is what the Soul Purpose Expansion Retreat gave these ladies.

🙏🏼 On International Yoga Day, I reflect with gratitude that this beautiful practice has been shared worldwide & is not lost as a way of living.

There are 8 limbs of yoga, present in my everyday life…

Yoga is so much more than what happens on a mat…

When I first really met the 8 limbs, I realised I had been living many of them without even knowing it - holding me through the most challenging seasons of my life.

Here’s how each limb shows up for me…

1. Yama / ethical principles
Truth and authenticity shape how I show up for my family, friends, clients and community. I don’t pretend life has been easy — I share the learnings of my journey in the hope it supports another.

2. Niyama / inner disciplines
Self-study (svadhyaya) has been one of my greatest teachers.

I listened.
I tuned in.
Intune Yoga Daily was birthed.

3. Asana / posture & movement
Not about perfecting a pose, for me it’s about inhabiting my body with curiosity and kindness.

Somatic movement helped me feel all the feelings and come home to my true soul purpose. (And yes - that’s the name of my retreat next week in Bali! 🏝️)

4. Pranayama / breath
My anchor.
In moments of anxiety, overwhelm, hot flashes, sleepless nights - breath is the simplest, most powerful tool I have.

5. Pratyahara / withdrawal of the senses
Turning inward.
Quietening the noise.
Feeling what’s really happening inside.

This is where somatic work and yoga truly meet for me.

6. Dharana / concentration Choosing where to place my attention - not spiralling into fear, but staying present with what is.

7. Dhyana / meditation
Not always what people expect.

Sometimes it’s a barefoot walk on the beach, stillness with a cup of tea, or simply being with myself without agenda.

This limb has softened me in the best possible way.

8. Samadhi / integration & wholeness
Those moments when everything feels connected - body, mind, spirit, community.

I catch glimpses in deep conversations, in nature, and in the incredible women in my communities: Intune Yoga Daily, The Intune Circle & Moving Through Menopause.

The 8 limbs aren’t a checklist.

They’re a way of being.

The conversations, the connections, the energy in the room… something truly special unfolded that weekend, and you were every part of it.

Thank You…
For receiving the work.
For letting movement meet mindset. For allowing affirmations to weave through the asanas.

Creating space to release, to feel, to come home to yourselves, that’s the vision I hold for my Intune Yoga classes.

This is what trauma informed somatic practice looks like.

This is what embodiment feels like.

Today I confronted one of the parties in my stalking case.

The same day the law was passed stating that stalking is officially a criminal offence in Aotearoa New Zealand under the Crimes Legislation (Stalking and Harassment) Amendment Act.

I was shaking.

It was not a planned moment.

It was a complete aligning of the Universe.

A closing of a circle.

Karma.

So many micro things lined up to make it possible for me to talk face to face to that person.

I held them accountable for their actions in the event.

Whilst the damage is done and my entire business was shut down because of it, this conversation allowed for a space of healing.

It allowed me to be heard for the first time in 9 years.

The person involved in the situation actually apologized and asked, how can I fix this?

That is remarkable!

That is change!

That is what happens when we say:
“It’s not ok”

When we hold people accountable for their behaviour.

The law changes when we fight for what we deserve, when we fight for justice.

Whilst having the law in place will not necessarily change some perpetrators behaviour, at least the law may be a deterrent for some.
And it may provide retribution for others.

The law defines stalking as a pattern of behaviour that causes fear or distress, and that explicitly includes digital harassment.

I have experienced a very high level of distress and anguish from being stalked and being the victim of digital harassment.

My hope is that no-one else experiences this.

💛My hope is that humans find peace within.
💛With peace in our hearts humans behave from a place of love, not acting out acts of violence.

That hope may be unrealistic, however let’s celebrate the progress that is happening when our voices are heard.

Keep speaking up.

Be the change.

Taken for granted? Feeling exhausted?

When you’re in an unhealthy relationship the other person believes they are being nice, when in fact their behaviour is disturbing.

The behaviour may not be obvious at first. Initially they lay on the charm.
Once they have built a level of trust and dependence, the cracks start to show in the mask.

Controlling the finances “because you’re no good with money”.

Not letting you go out with your friends “because they’re a bad influence on you”.

Correcting your memory of an event “because you always forget things”.
Putting you down “because then you learn how to do things better”.

When confronted, they do not reflect.
They deflect.
They blame.
They gaslight.
They minimize.

You deserve to be seen, heard and valued.

Somewhere along the way you stayed quiet to keep the peace.
At some point you learnt that being amicable would keep you safe.

Over time your self worth eroded.

Your boundaries were crossed and now you’re feeling exhausted.
