“I am presence. I am love.”

At the start of the summer, I felt overwhelmed by the noise of expectations to have my kids signed up for all the things. Would they be “missing out” if I didn’t? Then I caught myself in a meditation saying “All I need to be for them is present and loving. I am presence. I am love.”

This is my reminder when I start to get swept up and off balance. We are not missing out on anything as long as I am present for all the summer-simplicity and a loving space for them to explore their world. That’s actually how we experience life fully.

Do you struggle with this too? Repeat after me, “I am presence. I am love.” That’s it, my friend. Have a happy, carefree summer! ✌🏼💛🌞

My twins turn 6 today. This birthday is a big one as they just started kindergarten. It’s all so amazing and still surprises me that we’re doing it. Like, wait, I have twins?! Wait, my twins are becoming independent?! My body did that?! (Yeah, I’m still in shock with that one.) These big transitions have encouraged me to slow down. To hold space for all I need to feel as I’m holding space for them too.

Sometimes I feel like I’m swimming against the current as I try to do less, be still more. It’s not the modern way. But the continued practice and dedication to a slower pace is so worth it. To notice what I need. To notice what my kids need. This flurry of life will sweep you up. It’s ok to choose to slow down. To rest more. Permission - again and again - to do less.

I did a short yoga practice this morning and closed with deep gratitude for my body. For the work and the changes it has gone through for my four kids. Especially the work that was required carrying, birthing and recovering from twins. So. much. gratitude. So many changes. So much grace for myself during each transition.

Holding this space for you too. To exhale 💞 and celebrate where you’re at today.

My current work/practice is dropping more.

Dropping old stories.

Dropping old ideas.

Dropping comparison.

Dropping “shoulds”.

Dropping my illusion of control.

Dropping FOMO.

Realizing when I drop that stuff, I’m freer to float on this goodness right in front of me.

I’ve got my best teachers, right here, reminding me to play more, structure less and live as free as the waves ✌🏼💛😎

Happy summer, my loves. Let’s find comfort in lightening the load we’re carrying.

Let me know, in the comments, what you’re working on dropping. And trust, as always, this is work in progress. Just keep showing up.

When you’re holding space for all their emotions, don’t forget to give yourself the same grace to also release.

Somehow I’ve forgotten this lately.

I try my best to be their safe space to land, to explore and express their emotions. To know, it’s ok to have big feelings and how we can move through them in a healthy way. If you’re in that role too mama, you know, it’s tiring work!

Recently, my body gave me the nudge to do this work and hold space for myself too. Permission to feel all the feels. To release it, process and move through it to move forward.

Let’s continue to be gentle with ourselves along this journey of parenthood. And remember, we’re beautifully messy humans, designed to feel in order to heal 🙏🏼💕💕

💪🏼 It’s the mom-squat, an essential movement of parenthood. Squat down, wipe the face. Squat down, tie the shoe. Squat down, kiss the boo boo… and help toddlers load the dishwasher, and give all the high-fives. (And then you’ve got to get yourself back up 😉) After momming for 11 years now, this is, hands-down, my most frequently used life movement.

However you get through your day, it matters most is that we move in a way that supports our unique body. Properly functioning to keep up with all the messy demands of parenting.

💓 We work on this strength and mobility practice in my Prenatal Yoga classes, every Thursday, 5:15-6:45.

💓 My Postpartum Workshop will also feature many ways to regain strength and mobility during the major transition your body experiences after pregnancy and birth. The next 6 week series begins this Thursday, 4-5!

All classes at . Register through the yogaErie app or my link in bio 💫

So, tell me, is the powerhouse squat one of your most used moves on the daily? If not, what is??

“For everyone and their mother” - Earth Mama Organics. [except the cat 😹]

I brew Organic Raspberry Leaf Tea every day during my cycle. Such a powerful herb to support our uterus before and after birth, then during our cycle.

🤓 But, did you know, astringent Red Raspberry Leaf Tea can help ease occasional diarrhea? I just learned this and find it fascinating that this tea can help the entire family when needed!

Seriously, organic herb power “For everyone and their mother” 💥

Always worth reading this one again and again. [quote by Iain Thomas]

As we’re sharing the love on Valentine’s Day, remember to value the most important relationship, the one with yourself 💞

This is an element of my half marathon training. Rest. 💥

Can we start hyping up and celebrating rest (the slow days) more? It’s an essential part of training. It’s an essential part of life.

As key as preparation and conditioning is, rest and recovery are just as important.

Whether you’re training for a race, pregnancy and birth, or just this game of adulting, let your body, mind and nervous system rest. That’s how we get stronger, my friends.

Aaaaand, exhale ☺️✨✨✨
