Earlier this month, we hosted our first annual Driving Hope Golf Outing at Valleywood Golf Course in Swanton—and we’re thrilled to announce that we exceeded our fundraising goal! 🎉
This incredible achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the amazing teams of golfers, generous sponsors, and dedicated staff and volunteers of HCNO. We are so grateful for everyone who helped make the day such a success.
We’ll be sharing more photos from the outing and giving shout-outs to our wonderful sponsors over the next several weeks.

Please join us in congratulating Trisha Schuver, DHA, MPH, M.Ed., on her recent advancement to Regional Healthcare Coordinator (RHC) and Senior Manager of Disaster Preparedness at the Health Council of Northwest Ohio.

This well-deserved advancement reflects Trisha's dedication to strengthening healthcare preparedness, emergency response capabilities, and regional collaboration across Northwest Ohio. In her new role, she will continue leading efforts that help ensure our healthcare system is prepared, connected, and resilient in times of crisis.

Trisha's accomplishments extend beyond the field. She is a published author and researcher whose work has contributed to important conversations surrounding public health, substance use, mental health, and healthcare preparedness. Combined with her academic achievements, including a Doctor of Healthcare Administration, Master of Public Health, and Master of Education, she exemplifies a commitment to lifelong learning and service-driven leadership.

We are proud to have Trisha leading this important work and look forward to the continued impact she will make throughout our region.

What a beautiful day spent surrounded by an incredible community of supporters!

We are so grateful to everyone who joined us for the first annual golf outing benefiting the Health Council of Northwest Ohio (HCNO). With nearly 30 teams of golfers coming together, your generosity, enthusiasm, and support helped us raise important funds to advance our mission.

At HCNO, we connect people, programs, and partnerships to create lasting community health transformation. Whether you need support or have support to offer, we believe healthier communities are built together.

We had a great experience conducting HERT (Hospital Emergency Response Team) Training at Mercy Health Willard Hospital!

It was a pleasure learning alongside the dedicated staff with hands-on training focused on proper PPE donning and doffing (DON/DOFF) and FEMA emergency response protocols. The team was engaged, professional, and committed to strengthening their preparedness and ability to respond safely and effectively during an emergency.

A big thank you to the Mercy Health Willard Hospital staff and Huron County EMA for their participation, teamwork, and commitment to emergency preparedness. It was great working with you all!

A huge shout-out to our very own Trisha Schuver for co-instructing the class and sharing valuable knowledge and critical emergency preparedness steps with the team. Her expertise and commitment helped make the training a great success!
