I actually took some time off today, and did the coolest thing, and had an experience that's difficult to put into words. Our customers who have been to Phoenix Sound Journey have been raving about their experience and I've been wanting to go since I found out about it but I rarely take the time for myself. So I'm taking this opportunity to thank you. The studio is its own separate building, and its a beautiful space with vaulted ceiling and it feels like an oasis/retreat the moment you walk in. People who come to my rock shop are hit by the sheer number of rocks/crystals. I was hit by the sheer number of sound instruments and I didn't even notice all her rocks at first. Usually rocks would be the first thing I'd see! Eventually I saw them and the plants. I had a treatment done where Lesley placed singing bowls on various chakra points and used bowls with certain tones associated with said chakra, but then the Journey began. Soooo many different instruments were used and I was able to stay in the moment with each sound. My mind is usually too busy to be in the moment for very long. I've taken transcendental meditation classes and never stuck with the practice because of my wandering mind. Each sound took me to a different place. One sound that I thought at first was a water fountain (I later discovered it was strings of numerous shells clinking together), took my mind to a forest with a stream. A wave drum took me to an oceanside beach. The Gongs are the coolest sounds. She has at least 3 and they all sound different and I was transported to a Gregorian monk monastery, great wall of China and I started thinking I need to take up tai chi! I don't have a great imagination but I felt transported to different places and Lesley said possibly past lives. I went for the relaxation but my ears and body have never experienced these sounds and vibrations. Afterwards I felt like I'd hit a reset button. So many sounds and she said she only used ¼ of them 😲. Then I thought how appropriately named. Phoenix (the bird rising from the ashes renewed), Sound (it was a sound buffet!), and Journey ( it really is! ). Im completely blown away. She's located near Seeleys Bay in between here and Kingston.

We’ll work with gongs, Himalayan bowls, crystal tones, and grounding rhythms to create a powerful yet regulating experience for the nervous system.
