Team BMC on the move for Women with Cancer this morning with a 35km walk. Wishing Dr Marelene and Devon all the best!

They almost reached their $3000 fund raising goal falling just short at $2880. A great effort for a great cause.

If you’d like to help them get over the line, the charity is still accepting donations today at https://www.walkforwomenscancer.org.au/fundraisers/boddingtonmedicalcentre

We have been advised by WA Health of a possible Outbreak of Chickenpox in Boddington.

Important: Patients who think they may have chickenpox should phone reception before entering the clinic so the practice can reduce the risk of spreading infection.

Chickenpox symptoms usually start 10–21 days after exposure and may begin like a mild cold, with:

Fever
Runny nose or cold-like symptoms
Headache
Tiredness or feeling generally unwell
Loss of appetite
An itchy red spotty rash that turns into fluid-filled blisters, then crusts over into scabs

The rash often appears in “crops,” meaning new spots can appear over several days.
