Anti-Anti-Vaccine Campaign Most people who post or share anti-vaccine propaganda on Facebook are not fanatics. This usually works and will help clean up the conversation on Facebook.

This campaign is about politely but firmly encouraging them to stop doing that. Opposition to vaccines has existed as long as vaccines and it's not going away. Social media, and particularly Facebook, have emerged as a powerful way for antivaxers to spread their message. Every time someone shares an anti-vaccine link it is seen by a large number of people, and the more often they see it the more c

redible the message may seem to uninformed people. I have had a policy of never letting antivax propaganda going unchallenged. I will politely respond with questions, arguments and links. Sometimes I am alone in challenging, but often other friends of the poster will join me. I make it clear that I respect their right to their opinion, I strongly disagree and that Facebook is a public forum and I object to their posting propaganda here. Usually the poster will stop posting anti-vax material. It becomes too much trouble, and they aren't all that committed to converting anyone else. If the poster is a fanatic and keeps posting, I hide their posts but continue to challenge anyone who reposts their nonsense. This works. I virtually never see antivax propaganda on my wall any more. If I do, I challenge. If you are willing to take this on as a practice, and invite your rational friends to take this on as a practice, we can go a long way towards cleaning up the Facebook environment. It's a small, but real step towards a rational future.

PSA: If you think Big Pharma is hiding a miracle cure, I’ve got some news that might be harder to swallow than horse paste: Ivermectin is made by Merck. 💊

Merck is a $200+ billion corporation. If they could legally package this as the "Be-All-End-All Cure™" and charge you $500 a pill for it, they would be doing backflips in the boardroom. Instead, they’re literally out here telling people to stop taking it for things it … DOESN’T TREAT.

It’s great for deworming a 1,200lb gelding or clearing up a specific parasitic infection. But using it for anything else isn’t "thinking outside the box" because it’s actually just being delusional in the barn.

Unless you’ve got literal worms, you’re just a person with a very expensive, very unnecessary laxative. 🐴✨

Oh look, Robert Malone "discovered" basic statistics and decided to dress it up as a deep-state conspiracy. Groundbreaking work from the man who claims he "literally invented" mRNA. 🤡

According to this "3% logic":

- Bulletproof vests are a scam because 99.9% of people didn't get shot today.

- Smoke detectors are a headline distraction since your house isn't currently an inferno.

- Parachutes are "3% effective" because most people on the ground are alive without them.

It takes a special kind of talent to look at a vaccine that wipes out 97% of shingles cases and say, "Yeah, but what about the people who weren't going to get it this week anyway?"

But I guess when you've convinced yourself you're the "Father of mRNA," you have to find a way to make nearly perfect protection look like a rounding error. 🤡
