It’s really hard for me to see this and not compare it to so many beautiful things happening around me led by “average, everyday citizens,” who are anything BUT passive! Make no mistake, there’s all around us, too...

But I wonder every day since I haven’t been able to travel in so long, what people outside my “designated Anarchy” of , Oregon 🙄 are seeing in their areas in terms of people out in numbers donating and making a difference not from a place of fear, but love?

I realize there are too many variables right now to compare but still am curious.

It was reported from researchers in Wuhan that Chloroquine (Cq) can be used for the treatment of patients with Covid 19. The Cq molecule content is in kratom leaves that thrive in West Kalimantan. ‘By looking at the chemical structure of Chloroquine molecules that contain secondary and tertiary amine compound structures, it can be considered to use kratom leaves. It’s now a month late but has been on my mind every day since the anniversary came and went without mention or pause. I’ve drafted a little piece about how it all came about that I plan to have published soon.

The AKA (American Kratom Association) was officially launched exactly 5 years ago on February 1st. Incorporated in 2014, a lot of hard-working, dedicated volunteers, far too many to list here but especially Sebastian Guthery, Paul Kemp, my co-founder and Kathy Rosemond, our 3rd required board member plus Will Robin who got our site up and running to go live that day (and later became a Board member) can’t go without mention.

So I’ll say it here. Happy 5-year anniversary AKA. So many of us look forward to a day when the services of the AKA and fighting and reversing bans, helped along by 10’s of thousands, are no longer needed. A day when Kratom is legitimized and accepted by the powers that be as a safe botanical for adults to use responsibly. I believe that day will come and as cheesy as this is, especially since I’m not a customer myself, I found this in an article from 2015! Endless Pressure. Endlessly Applied. 👊🏻🍃❤️

My favorite researcher and advocate to follow on Twitter for factual, science-based information on is Dr. Marc Swogger . We’ve been arguing for years that the 1975 “study” referenced in DEA (and other agencies’) factsheets on Kratom & used as a study that “justifies” the need for FDA Import Alert (54-15) is severely flawed and misleading by concluding Kratom causes many severe side effects including psychosis. For those of you unfamiliar with me and/or my story, there is a lot of misinformation out there that will be addressed with legal counsel when I feel the time is right. As much as I value my reputation, I did/do not want to do anything to detract from the bigger fight for Kratom I’d dedicated my life to, or risk any of the progress made. Until then, aside from a few problems and a terrible end-quote, here is how it was told by a reporter who spent a few days with me.
