I am here to provide fitness tips, links, motivation, and encouragement for any persons wishing to raise their level of fitness, with an emphasis on running and at home weight training with free weights and body weight. I've been on a fitness journey for most of my life, but got a little side-tracked during the raising of my two oldest boys. After the third was born (when I was 40!), I decided it
was time to get back in the groove. Took me over a decade to accomplish one of my goals, giving up meat. It was easy to let go of ground beef and red meat, but poultry and especially fish were a little tougher. But on July 24, 2011, I took my last bite of meat (a salmon croquette), and have not looked back once. Started back running in 2012 about this time, after a 25 year hiatus of no running, but LOTS of walking. I run about 12-15 miles a week now, weight train (which I've been doing to some degree since 1997), and flexibility train. I'm in the best shape of my life. Go figure. :)
I am READY for the next phase! Whatever it turns out to be, I will never forsake my commitment to personal fitness, and to raising the consciousness about good health wherever I go. :)
