Quitting smoking and va**ng is a challenging journey but through Brief To***co Intervention (BTI), it could be successfully done. BTI strengthens to***co or v**e users’ motivation to change their behavior and to carry out a cessation plan that will help them quit successfully.

We should all work together and aim for a future where smoking and va**ng-related deaths are a thing of the past. Everyone’s commitment and dedication to this vital cause of saving lives should be sustained, sapagkat sa bagong Pilipinas, bawat buhay mahalaga!

Noong August 19, ipinagdiwang natin ang National Tuberculosis Day!

Isang pagkilala para sa lahat ng lumalaban, tumutulong, at nagbabayanihan para tuldukan ang TB.

Tandaan ang kahalagahan ng TB screening, proper cough etiquette, at hygiene para maiwasan ang pagkalat ng TB sa tahanan, trabaho, at paaralan.

Tabuan Lasa RHU together with the Provincial Health Office team joins the celebration of the National Lung Month in Barangay Saluping Proper, Tabuan- lasa with this year’s theme “hingang ginhawa kapag healthy lungs ang buong pamilya”. Through this celebration, we conducted an informative activity emphasizing the importance of lung health, prevention and management of lung diseases which is given by Tabuan-Lasa NTP Coordinator Sheena U. Ahalul, RN . Along with the activity Mr. Samir Angulo, RM Malaria Coordinator, also gave a short lecture about Malaria.

As part of the activity, some services rendered to the community are as follows; 25 presumptive Tb patients submitted their sputum for gene xpert examination and patients were given hygiene kits, 101 participants tested for Malaria Rapid Diagnostic Test, 100 families received mosquito net in connection to Malaria Campaign.

In this regard, We would like to give our utmost gratitude to the following who made this event successful; PHO team led by: Dr. Saifunnasri S. Hajan Technical Officer IV,Ma’am Cathy V. Pahalawan,RMT NTP Provincial Coordinator and team, RHU Tabuan-Lasa Staff headed by Dr. Eric Bim Delos Reyes, Barangay Officials of Saluping Proper and to the principal of Saluping Elementary School, Ma’am Tajmahal for participating in the event.

And, we would like to acknowledge and extend our deepest appreciation to our dedicated Municipal LCE Mayor Moner S. Manisan Onneh Sahaya LGU Tabuan Lasa for giving us the full support to make this event successful.

Lets spread awareness on lung health throughout this month. !
