Oyen & District Health Care Foundation would like to thank Hanna & District 4H for choosing our foundation as one of the recipients for the Three Little Pigs Charity Auction. Funds totally $20,700 will be used to support enhancements to the health care needs of Oyen and the surrounding communities.

Auction day for Larry, Curly and Moe will be here before we know it! As we get closer, we wanted to highlight some of the incredible community programs and organizations that will benefit from the money (and food) raised through this event.

We will start off with the Oyen and District Health Care Foundation

For nearly 30 years, the Oyen & District Health Care Foundation has been committed to supporting healthcare in Oyen and surrounding communities.

Thanks to generous community support, the ODHCF has been able to invest in vital equipment, programs, patient care, and rural healthcare projects at Big Country Hospital and local care facilities.

From palliative care and long-term care improvements to medical equipment, recreation programs, and patient comfort initiatives, every donation helps make a difference close to home.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support local healthcare and help strengthen care for our community. 💙

These three aren’t just any pigs, they’re our Charity Pigs at the Hanna & District Show and Sale this June, and they’re here to make a real difference in our communities.

When they go under the hammer, every dollar raised will go directly to supporting the Hanna Hospital and the Oyen Hospital. Helping to improve equipment, resources, and the quality of care for patients right here at home.

It doesn’t stop there. After the sale, the meat from Larry, Curly, and Moe will be donated to the Hanna Food Bank and the Oyen Food Bank, helping put meals on the tables of families who need it most.

One auction. Three pigs. Four incredible community causes.

We’d love to see you there, support the sale, and be part of something that truly gives back in every direction.

Pigs have been donated by Rexstin & Klyde Griffith and are enjoying their best lives being well looked after at the Griffith Ranch eating feed donated by Hand Hills Feed & K. Griffith Ranching ltd.

April 1, 2026 marks the beginning of our 30th Anniversary year! What a milestone! We will keep you abreast of the various celebrations we are planning.

Historically when memorial donations are directed to this foundation someone sits at the funeral/luncheon collecting donations. Moving forward, there will be a donation box available. This provides an easy and convenient way to make a donation by using one of the envelopes provided. E-transfer information is also available. Your continued support is appreciated.

We are proud to report that over the past 12 months we have funded $58,400 in equipment and programs. Every dollar donated represents a direct investment in the health and well-being of a neighbor, friend, or loved one. Your support is truly invaluable to enhance the high-quality care our rural community deserves.
