Coming back into the online space after an extended maternity leave… something felt different.
Instagram felt heavier. Noisier. More… performative. I felt overstimulated the moment I logged on.
And suddenly everything felt like it was about the perfect hook, the trending audio, saying the “right” thing in the “right” way to trigger someone’s pain or desire.
Instead of just speaking from the heart, from truth, from soul… (yes I know, so 2018. But I miss that era.)
Instagram started to feel like a space where I had to perform.
And honestly? It felt exhausting…
Not because I don’t want to work. Not because I don’t care about my business. But because it felt like I had to contort myself, do more, strategise more… just to attract clients.
And I know I’m not the only one.
There is a collective feeling right now. Women who are deeply driven, heart-led, here to make an impact… who are just done with building in a way that fries their nervous system.
We still want the success. We still want the money. We still want to change lives. Just not like that.
I believe we’re being called into a different way of building. One that’s rooted in our energy, our truth, our own rhythm. Where we create from the inside-out… not constantly moulding ourselves to whatever the latest hack is.
Don’t get me wrong. I love money. And I believe money in the hands of women does powerful things.
But I’m not available for building it in a way that burns me out or keeps me frozen, unable to say the actual thing.
Lately I’ve felt the pull to create differently. To write more. To go deeper. To share when I actually have something to say, not because of some content bucket or posting schedule.
To build something that feels rich, spacious and alive. A community where real humans actually connect.
It’s not that I don’t want the success.
I just refuse to build it the old way.
Anyone else feeling the shift?
