When Davy was first diagnosed, the fear of what was coming became its own condition. The uncertainty was relentless. And at one point, his anxiety became so intense he was hospitalised. He hadn't slept properly in months.
Sleep deprivation affects your mood, your movement, your ability to cope with anything the day throws at you. For someone living with Parkinson's, it compounds every other symptom.
What helped him turn a corner wasn't one big thing. It was the daily practice.
Qi Gong, done consistently, gave Davy something he could actually do for himself. Every weekday morning in Chi Flow with Jo, he moves, breathes and reconnects with his body. Not to fight his diagnosis. Not to push through it. Just to be present in his body, gently and with intention.
He sleeps soundly now. He feels calmer and more grounded. And that steadiness carries through into the rest of his day.
It doesn't replace medical care. But it sits alongside it, quietly and consistently doing its work.
If you or someone you love is living with Parkinson's and the anxiety that can come with it, you don't have to just wait and see what happens next. There are things you can do. Small, gentle, daily things that genuinely make a difference.
We have a free Chi Flow class recording expires Saturday and Davy and I would love for you to join us.

You didn’t move a muscle. Your mind did.
This is what Qi Gong teaches us every single morning in Chi Flow. The body follows the mind. The mind shapes the flow of Qi. And when both are working together, things that felt stiff, stuck or out of reach start to shift.
It is not complicated. It does not require flexibility you don’t have or fitness you’ve lost. It just requires showing up and paying attention.
That is the whole practice, really. Showing up and paying attention.
This is exactly why Chi Flow with Jo is live every weekday morning at 8:30am. Because showing up consistently, even for twenty or thirty minutes, is what creates change over time. Not in a week. Over time.
More than 400 people practise with us. Around 100 join live each morning. The rest use the recording sent afterwards. Many have been here for years, not because they had to stay, but because the daily rhythm became something they didn’t want to give up.
Chi Flow combines Qi Gong, self acupressure, breathing, meditation and Five Element food medicine into one weekday morning practice. Everything can be done seated or standing. No experience needed. If you have Parkinson’s, chronic fatigue, anxiety, stiffness or simply a body that doesn’t move like it used to, you are in the right place.
Membership is €39 a month to start. After three months of consistent practice, it reduces to €20 a month. Most programmes charge more the longer you stay. We do the opposite. Consistency is worth rewarding.
If you are not sure yet, try a free class first. See how it feels in your own body before you decide anything.

Most women have no idea there is a meridian called the Bao Mai that runs between the heart and the uterus. When this pathway is open and flowing, life feels manageable. When it is blocked or out of balance, the effects are felt in both places.
During menstruation, blood naturally flows downward.
But during perimenopause and menopause, that energy begins to rise. And when it rises without anywhere to settle, you feel it. A racing heart. Hot flushes. Restlessness at 3am. An anxiety that seems to come from nowhere.
Sound familiar?
In the free class we just completed, we worked directly with the Bao Mai. Gentle Qi Gong movement to encourage that rising energy to soften and settle. To restore a downward, grounding flow through the body.
When I use it I feel calmer within minutes. Less fizzy. More grounded.
That is what a consistent daily practice can do.
If you are in perimenopause or menopause and you are struggling with any of these symptoms, you do not have to just push through. There is something practical you can do, every single day, that works with your body rather than against it.
The free class is still available to watch. Comment YES and I will send you the link.
And if you are ready to make this a daily practice, Chi Flow with Jo is open. We meet live every weekday morning, together, with Qi Gong, acupressure and Five Element food medicine to support your health from the inside out.
Together we practise. Together we grow.
Comment YES and I will send you the link to the free class and details of how to join us.

When Chi rises like fire, sleep suffers. Peace of mind suffers. This month we work on bringing it back down.

In Chinese Medicine, this is what we call rebellious Qi. Energy that should descend, settling the body and calming the mind, instead rises and agitates. It's a pattern I see a lot in women at midlife.

This September in Chi Flow, we're working with the Bao Mai channel. Practising specific Qi Gong movements, food medicine and acupressure points to bring that energy down, so the mind can rest and the body can feel at ease again.

Every weekday morning, live at 8:30am. If you can't make it live, the recording lands in your inbox. Seated or standing, no experience needed. €39 a month, and after three months it drops to €20.

Doors close 4th September. Comment YES and I'll send you the link.

Your heart and your womb are in conversation.

In Chinese Medicine, there is a meridian called the Bao mai. It connects the heart and the uterus, and when you understand what this channel does, so much about your emotional life suddenly makes sense.

Blood flows downward to nourish the uterus through your reproductive years. But as you move into midlife, that flow begins to shift upward.

And when it does, you might notice a racing heart. Difficulty sleeping. A low hum of anxiety that seems to come from nowhere.

This is not something to be afraid of. Once you understand the pathway, you can work with it.

This month’s free Qi Gong class is built around exactly this. We are going to use a movement called Embrace the Mountain to move the energy through the Baomai channel, calm the heart and ease that anxious, unsettled feeling.

We are not going to talk about this in theory. We are going to feel it. Moving energy is not a concept. It is something your body already knows how to do. We are simply going to remind it.

If you are in midlife and you have been waking at 3am, or your heart has been fluttering, or you just feel a little more on edge than usual, this class is for you.

If you are earlier in your reproductive life and you have ever felt that deep emotional pull around your cycle, this class is for you too.

The Bao mai does not care how old you are. It just wants to flow.

Join me for the September free class. Comment YES and I will send you the link. A recording will be available if you cannot make the live.

Let’s begin the journey together.
