Since my business page has been gaining likes and followers (wooo hooo and thank you!) I wanted to spend some time this week posting information about a type of therapy modality that I offer as a part of my pediatric and adult practice.

MNRI, or Masgutova Neurosensorimotor Reflex Integration, is a scientific, research based therapeutic approach to reflex integration. Created by Dr. Svetlana Masgutova over 30 years ago, this therapy is often called "the missing link" by therapists and parents because it is consistently the link or bridge between the patient and the skill being learned or relearned.

How is this different than most therapy approaches? Dr. Masgutova's approach works from a bottom up perspective where the nervous system is able to be educated and doesn't depend on a person's ability to follow commands or tolerate techniques. Also, MNRI has been noted to create new neural pathways that allow a patient to progress in their understanding of motor movements like speech or cognitive processes such as language. This means that once the foundation has been made strong, learning occurs naturally versus having to be taught each new concept.
