FAQ Fridays | How can I prevent cervical cancer? 🎗️
The good news is that cervical cancer is one of the most preventable cancers.
Protection starts with HPV vaccination, healthy lifestyle choices, and safer sexual practices. Just as importantly, regular screening can detect pre-cancerous changes before they become cancer, allowing timely treatment.
✅ Screening Recommendations
• Women 30–49 years old: VIA every 3 years
• Women 30–65 years old: HPV DNA test every 5 years (preferred) or Pap test every 3 years
Early detection saves lives—and in many cases, prevents cancer from developing altogether.
Talk to your healthcare provider about the screening option that’s right for you. Together, we can move closer to a future free from cervical cancer.
