Today is !

The holiday, which originated in Galveston, Texas, in 1865, commemorates the end of slavery in the United States. This day represents freedom and justice for Black Americans and serves as an opportunity for all of us to educate ourselves about the continued impact of trauma caused by slavery.

Today, we’re focusing on uplifting Black voices in mental health by highlighting Black-led mental health organizations. We hope you’ll celebrate Juneteenth by supporting their work. ♥️

Today we honor Juneteenth, a day that commemorates freedom, resilience, hope, and the ongoing journey toward equity and justice.

As a mental health practice, we recognize that healing is not only personal, but also collective. Juneteenth reminds us of the strength, perseverance, and contributions of generations who endured hardship while continuing to build community, culture, and legacy.

May we take time today to reflect, celebrate freedom, amplify voices, and continue creating spaces where every person feels seen, valued, and supported.

❤️🖤💚

Happy Juneteenth from Horton Health Haven Counseling LLC
