‎Isolated rainfall is expected in various parts of Sindh, including Karachi, Thatta, Badin, Sujawal, Umerkot, Tharparkar, Mithi, Hyderabad, Nawabshah, Dadu, Khairpur, Sukkur, Ghotki, Larkana, Shikarpur, Shaheed Benazirabad, Jacobabad, Kashmore, and surrounding areas during the next 12 to 24 hours.

𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁/اثرات
‎1) Localized urban and low-lying area flooding, especially in poorly drained regions.
‎2) Increased chances of landslides and flash flooding in hilly areas.
‎3) Strong winds and thunderstorms might knock down weak trees and cause short-term power cuts.
‎4) Rain and dust can make it hard to see while driving, which may lead to more road accidents.

‎1) Stay away from trees, signboards, and weak structures that could fall during strong winds or storms.
‎2) Park your car in a safe, covered place to protect it from falling branches or other objects.
‎ 3) Try not to travel unless necessary while it's raining to avoid any danger.
‎4) Keep checking weather updates and follow instructions from local officials.

‎Active monsoon rains over Gilgit-Baltistan and upper KP, coupled with enhanced glacial melt, may trigger GLOFS, flash floods, and landslides, disrupting roads, highways, and settlements in the vulnerable valleys including Badswat, Ishkomen, Hinarchi, Tersat Hundur, Shishper, Darkut, Reshun, Brep, Booni, Sardar Gol, Thalu 1 & 2, Arkari.

‎Flash flooding and sudden lake surges could impact vulnerable valleys and nallahs.
‎Landslides and debris flows likely to block roads (especially the Karakoram Highway) and disrupt
‎access.
‎Damage to small-scale infrastructure—e.g., bridges, irrigation channels, streams, and pasturelands.

‎Avoid travel near streams, glacial lakes, and steep slopes.

‎A low-pressure system from the Arabian Sea is bringing moderate to heavy rain over the Kirthar Range and surrounding areas. This weather is likely to continue for the next 2-3 days, with periods of isolated heavy rain.

‎𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁/اثرات
‎Along the Kirthar Range, isolated moderate to heavy rainfall may cause flash flooding in southeastern districts such as Khuzdar, Awaran, and Lasbela. Northern districts, including Sibi, Lehri, Jhal Magsi, and adjoining parts of Bolan and Kalat, are also at risk due to potential runoff from hilly terrain.

𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻/عملی اقدامات
‎1) Residents in flood-prone areas, particularly near streams, nullahs, and hilly slopes, should remain vigilant and avoid unnecessary travel during bad weather situations. Rapid increase in stream/Nullahs/ River channels could trap them in flooded water.
‎2) Ensure readiness of flood response teams and clearing of drainage systems to minimize flood risk.
‎3) Tourists and travelers are advised to avoid visiting high-altitude areas and valleys during the forecast period.
‎4) Stay on high alert for potential evacuation and rescue operations.
‎5) Secure household items and livestock from possible water inundation.

‎As per met projections, isolated heavy rain is expected in Gilgit Baltistan and AJ&K (Gilgit, Skardu, Hunza, Astore, Diamir, Ghanche, Muzaffarabad, Neelum Valley, Haveli, Bagh, Ponch), and widespread heavy rain is expected in upper/western KP (Chitral, Dir, Kohistan, Bajaur, Mohmand Agency).

‎𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁/اثرات
‎Torghar (RD 120), Batagram (RD 140), Shangla (RD 160), Lower Kohistan (RD 180), Tattapani (RD 320-360), Gilgit (RD 400 -- 420), Hunza (RD 530) at Rondu and Skardu at JSR and locations in Chitral (as highlighted in the map), are at risk.

𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻‎/‎عملی اقدامات
‎It is advised to be watchful of Landslides, Slope failures, Rock falls, and Ground Subsidence in high-vulnerable zones (encircled) in the map, and avoid unnecessary travel. PDMAs, Rescue Services, Armed Forces, and leading NGOs / CSOs to ensure availability of personnel/equipment in the indicated areas and be on standby for rapid response in case of any forecasted adverse weather systems. Stay updated on weather & road conditions through social media and local news.
