There’s something extremely powerful about a group of women getting together to support each other to heal from their past, move forward & become their best self.

Tonight we started something new, every other Tuesday we get together & work on step work. Doing this not only creates stronger bonds, builds the foundation of a solid community & network, but also helps keep everyone diligent & accountable. 🫶🏼

This disease is relentless, it’s a daily fight - but you never have to fight it alone. Never alone, never again 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Thank you, Dolly, for a lifetime of reminding people to dream bigger, love harder, embrace & stay true to who they are no matter the critics, reminding people to never let someone else decide what they’re capable of & if you can dream it, you can do it.

Thank you for shining a light on such a beautiful & special corner of Tennessee, for carrying the spirit of Appalachia with you wherever you went, and for never losing sight of the roots that made you who you were. 🦋

Your legacy is so much bigger than music. It lives in the people you helped, the place you loved, the opportunities you created, and the countless people you made believe that where you come from never has to limit where you can go.

This is why we do what we do. 🤍

I received this text today from someone who is not only very dear to our hearts, but who has now trusted Brave Haven to be part of her recovery journey… and I honestly don’t have the words to describe what it did to my heart.

There are moments when the stress, the long days, the hard conversations, the worry, and everything that comes with this work can feel heavy.

And then you get a message like this… Just a few days ago, she came in broken, defeated & just tired… today, her fire inside is alive again. 🔥🔥

A message from a woman who is choosing to fight for herself. Who is taking the next right step. Who is going to meetings, asking for help, taking the suggestions, rebuilding her life piece by piece, and learning how to smile again.

This. This is our Why.

Brave Haven was never meant to simply be a place for women to just live... We wanted it to be a place where women could land when life had knocked them down. A place where they could be supported, held accountable, reminded of who they are, and most importantly — loved until they learn how to love themselves again.

Today, we are simply just overwhelmed with gratitude that we get to do exactly that.

We don’t recover for these women. We can’t do the work for them. But WE CAN stand beside them while they do it. WE CAN believe in them when they’re struggling to believe in themselves. WE CAN remind them that their life is worth fighting for. WE CAN remind them that even though this season is dark, gloomy & heavy.. the sun will shine again ☀️

One of the greatest things recovery teaches, is that we were never meant to do this alone. The programs aren’t “I” programs — they’re “we” programs. The opposite of addiction is connection. 🤞🏼 Sometimes loving someone back to life simply means staying connected, showing up, and reminding them over and over again that they NEVER have to fight alone. ✨

And sometimes, if we’re incredibly lucky, we get to watch them begin to come back to life right in front of us. 🥹

What a privilege it is to love on these women & pour into them, like women done so freely for me.

Keep fighting, beautiful girl. We are so so proud of you!!! There is so much life waiting for you on the other side of this. 🫶🏼

Today is National Nonprofit Day, and it feels like the perfect day to share what’s next for Brave Haven Recovery. 💛

When we started Brave Haven, the mission was simple: create a safe, supportive place where people in recovery have the opportunity to rebuild their lives, regain their independence, and create a future they can be proud of.

Today, we are incredibly grateful to say that our women’s recovery house in Hendersonville is FULL. Every bed represents a woman who chose recovery, a new beginning, and a chance to build a different life. Watching this house become a true home and seeing these women grow has been more rewarding than we could have imagined.

And now… Brave Haven is growing.

We are officially expanding into men’s recovery housing in Gallatin! 🦁

Our new logo represents that next chapter — the lion and lioness standing together as Brave Haven expands its mission to serve both men and women in recovery throughout our community.

There is still so much work ahead, but today we are taking a moment to be grateful — for our residents, our team, our board, our community partners, our donors, and every single person who has believed in this mission and helped us get here.

One house became a home. Now we’re making room for more.

We are currently in need of a few items to help support the women in our program. Every donation, big or small, makes a difference. 💖

Current Needs:
• Drug test cups
• Alcohol test strips
• Women’s skinny jeans (size 16)
• Women’s slide sandals (size 9)
• Razors
• Body lotion
• Non-perishable food items
• Frozen meals & foods
• Drinks of any kind (water, sports drinks, soda, juice, etc.)
• Uber/Lyft gift cards

🚗 VEHICLE DONATION NEEDED 🚗

is currently seeking a reliable vehicle donation to help transport women in recovery to work, recovery meetings, treatment appointments, court dates, job interviews, and other essential needs. Transportation is one of the biggest barriers many women face while rebuilding their lives.

As a federally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, qualifying vehicle donations to Brave Haven Recovery may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Donation receipts can be provided for tax purposes.

Every donation directly supports women working toward long-term recovery, stability, and independence. 🤍
