Afraid that certain exercises might put your back out?

Here’s how to get out of a fear-avoidance feedback loop:
✅ Understand that pain is a protective mechanism
✅The trigger is not necessarily the exercise itself but rather ‘how’ you are doing it.
✅ Address soft tissue restrictions & mobility deficits
✅ Reduce threshold strategy & regain proper mechanics
Gradual exposure to higher threshold strategies & progressive overload
✅Plenty time for recovery & adaptation

Benchmarking is a great way to keep track of how clients are progressing and keep them motivated on their journey to improved mobility 😉

For joints to function optimally, releasing tense, overworked, facilitated muscles is only one part of the solution 😇

In addition, those disused or inhibited muscles should be activated with mind-muscle activation and strengthened so the facilitated muscles do not have to be fatigued as much as they usually are, thus giving them a well-deserved day off 🤓

Pain is a protective mechanism created in the brain to prevent damage 💪

If you get a massage so hard that you grit your teeth, hold your breath, or end up with bruises, it will neither quieten your internal alarm system; but have the opposite effect, making it more likely to sound off with less pressure and louder so that you are more likely to pay attention 😬
