Arguably the two most adorable lady Wolfe’s came to stay with us last week. Norm’s radiant little woodland sprite and beloved Den Mother made the Wolfe pack feel whole for a little while. … the homestead is a bit quieter (and a lot less charming) without them. 🥹

Ruby and her wise, warm-hearted Grandma posted up at the Waypost like they owned the place—which is exactly the vibe we’re going for—equal parts mischief, magic, and pure heart.

The kind of visit that leaves glitter in the air after they’re gone... and counting the days till they come back. 🥰

SUMMER 2026, God willing.

Two years ago today I was in the hospital getting a strangulation kit performed, trying my dangdest to relieve tensions in the room with my displaced charm. Dad jokes are my knee-jerk in crises... But the sudden onset of PTSD had started taking root inside me, on a level I wasn’t yet aware of. The air was thick, and heavy, and everyone wore expressions of sorrow that flashed against a sea of scrubs. I remember feeling like my very presence hurt their feeling, especially bad for the head nurse -ten days from her maternity leave.
She has a daughter now.

I'd turned into a statistic overnight, complete with a case number: The State of Oregon VS my former spouse. My son - only twelve at the time - tragically the star witness. Without a shred of doubt: Because of him I'm here today.

Trauma restructures you.

But so does healing.

I'm better now. Happier. It’s a different sort of happiness, hits different, like fibrous tendons woven into scar tissue. I understand how tissues reconstruct themselves under strain and pressure, made of intricate webbing with strong, predictable patterns, no longer frenetic or overachieving. It knows its place and the thousands of micro adjustments it took to get there.

Today, I'm putting the final touches in place to open an apothecary, *MY* APOTHECARY, wherein every goods, works, and plant is strongly rooted, telling stories of new beginnings, made with love. Hearts chock full of gratitude.

Life is a beautiful web of stories.
