Rooted in Care Awardee Spotlight 🌿

We are proud to present our Community Partner Award to Edna Navarro Vidaurre with Birth to Five Region 1A (City of Chicago).
A Chicago-born advocate and systems change leader, Edna brings over 30 years of experience in Early Childhood Education and Care to everything she does. As Regional Council Manager for Birth to Five Illinois Region 1A and an Erikson Institute Fellow, she has been a connector, collaborator, and champion for Northwest Side families long before she crossed paths with EMHS.

Edna founded a Northwest Side park advisory council that secured real community investments, and she has opened doors for us — to resources, networks, and partnerships that strengthen our early child programs and the communities we serve together.

We are grateful for her, and we cannot wait to celebrate her next week. 💐
