Sometimes I sit quietly and think about how far God has brought me… 🥹❤️

Growing up as a refugee, I never imagined this life for myself. Back then, survival was the focus. Dreams didn’t even feel realistic. I never thought one day I would become a nurse… and not just a nurse, but a nurse in America 🇺🇸😭

There were moments in life that felt uncertain, painful, and impossible. But somehow God kept making a way, even when I couldn’t see one.

Now when I wear these scrubs, it’s more than just a job for me. It’s a reminder of grace, resilience, prayers, sacrifice, and how powerful God’s timing can be 🙏🏾❤️

If you’re in a difficult season right now, please don’t give up on yourself. Life can change in ways you never imagined.

Sometimes the people with the smallest beginnings end up living the stories they once thought were impossible 🥹❤️

I'm rarely off on weekends. Most Saturdays I'm either sleeping after night three or I'm already laying out scrubs for the next 12.
This weekend I was actually off.
Saturday morning my hand still reached for my badge out of habit. No alarm. No clock to watch. I just sat on my couch with these fresh braids, in my pink tank, and it was quiet. Too quiet at first.

Being a nurse mom is a strange kind of love. You spend 12 hours giving everything you have to other people's families, then you come home and try to find something left for your own. Some nights you miss bedtime and you carry that guilt in your scrub pocket the whole shift. Some mornings your kid asks "are you working today" and you hate saying yes.
This weekend I got to say yes to being home. I didn't do anything big. I cleaned my kitchen slow. I took a picture. I just existed in my own house without watching the clock.

If you're reading this between shifts, or before one, or on your own rare day off — I see you. We're not superheroes. We're just women trying to hold two full-time jobs with coffee, dry shampoo, and a whole lot of grace.
So tell me — what does your rare day off look like? I need ideas for the next time I get one in about three months.

Off duty, but still on the clock for ME ❤️

Rare Saturday off, and I'm actually sitting down to EAT. Not a granola bar in the car, not cold leftovers at 11pm — a real, colorful plate.

Nurse life has me running on coffee and adrenaline all week. Today I'm replenishing, not just refueling. My body works hard for me, it's time I feed it right.

I made sure every patient got their meal, their meds, and was checked on. The one person I forgot to feed? Me.
This is nurse life sometimes. We show up for everyone else first.

Resident fall at shift change should be illegal. Like actually illegal.
I was literally 5 minutes from clocking out. Bag on my shoulder, hand on the door… then the call bell.
