𝗔 𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗖𝗜𝗔𝗟 𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗜𝗧: 𝗗𝗘𝗖𝗢𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗜𝗠𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗚𝗨𝗧 𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗟𝗧𝗛 🩺

We were privileged to welcome a very special guest, Dr Yentl Gamiet, a prominent member of the East London community and Paediatric Surgeon at Beacon Bay Life Hospital. Dr Gamiet is deeply passionate about educating young people on the importance of understanding their bodies, especially the vital role that gut health plays in overall wellbeing.

During her informative presentation, “Decoding your Gut”, Dr Gamiet shared valuable insights on how to listen to our bodies, recognize what our gut is communicating, and make healthy food choices that help our bodies function effectively at all times. Her message empowered both the girls and teachers to become more aware of the signals their bodies send and to take responsibility for caring for their health.

The session was engaging, practical, and thought-provoking, leaving us with a deeper appreciation for the importance of looking after our gut health and making mindful lifestyle choices.

We extend our sincere thanks to Dr Gamiet for sharing her time, expertise, and passion with us. The knowledge gained from her visit will certainly have a lasting impact on our school community!
