The Connect Group is excited to re-launch the popular, 'Friends Social Skills Group' for 2026!

'The one where we learn how to become self-confident and develop, grow and maintain healthy friendships through thick and thin!'

This group, themed in Pop-Culture TV series, 'Friends', draws important social lessons from the episodes watched each week. Teen attendees start each session with a Check-In, followed by popcorn, cooldrink and an episode of the series springboarding us into conversation and activities themed in the friendship dynamics.

Have you ever wondered why therapy fees vary between professionals?

The cost of a session often reflects a practitioner's qualifications, scope of practice and years of training—not necessarily the quality of care you'll receive.

Finding the right support is about choosing the professional that best suits your needs.

Access to mental healthcare has improved over time—but for many South Africans, receiving the support they need is still not easy.

Factors such as cost, availability of services, transport and stigma continue to prevent many people from accessing timely care.

Understanding these barriers is an important step towards creating a future where mental healthcare is accessible to everyone.

July is Mental Illness Awareness Month 💚

Mental illness affects people from all walks of life, yet many continue to struggle in silence due to stigma, lack of understanding or difficulty accessing support.

Throughout this month, we'll be sharing information, practical resources and conversations to help raise awareness, reduce stigma and remind others that support is available.
