*One Killed Multiple injured in Nandi Multiple Vehicle Crash*

Just before 9pm on Tuesday evening ALS Paramedics responded to a multiple vehicle crash on the N2 North Bound before Nandi Offramp, north of Durban.

Paramedics arrived on the scene to find chaos and carnage as the scene was stretched accross all lanes of the National Highway. Three vehicles were involved leaving multiple patients with various injuries. One of the drivers involved was found entrapped in the wreckage. Paramedics assessed the man believed to be in his thirties and found unfortunately that he had sustained fatal injuries and unfortunately there was nothing Paramedics could do for him and he was declared deceased on the scene. The Ethekweni Fire Department used the Jaws of Life to cut the man free. Approximately Five patients were treated on scene before being transported to various Durban Hospitals for the further care that they required.

At this stage the events leading up to the crash is unknown however SAPS were in attendance and will be investigating further.

*Two Killed in Chatsworth Crash*

Just before 11pm on Tuesday evening ALS Paramedics responded to a horrific crash on the M1 Higginson Highway East Bound before Havenside Robots in Chatsworth.

Paramedics arrived on the scene to find chaos and carnage as they found that two vehicles both bakkies had collided head on. Paramedics quickly assessed the scene and found that two male occupants were severely entrapped in one of the vehicles. As Paramedics approached the vehicle the vehicle burst into flames and unfortunately there was nothing Paramedics could do except wait for the Ethekweni Fire Department. Once the fire had been extinguished Paramedics assessed the patients however both men had sustained fatal injuries and were declared deceased on the scene. The second driver had sustained minor injuries and was treated and transported to Hospital under Police Guard.

At this stage the events leading up to the crash is unknown however SAPS were in attendance and will be investigating further.
