Sports Massage is a inexpensive form of physical therapy and it concentrates on the various target muscles of all the different types of sporting disciplines. The target muscles of a polo horse will be much different from that of a dressage horse. Each sport and riding discipline brings forth a different set of target muscles, of which, in sports massage are addressed. There are various causes of

muscle issues and damage. Some of these factors include nervous tension, over training, incorrect shoeing, poor saddle fit and nutrition, to mention a few. At Arion, we evaluate these factors at each session to not only help maintain optimum performance and health, but to ensure that your horse is a happy horse. It is always good to remember that sports massage therapy is NEVER a replacement for proper Veterinarian care.
