We are pleased to introduce Megan Hoy, our Rehabilitation Admissions Consultant at the Life Hilton Private Hospital Rehabilitation Unit.

Megan is an Enrolled Nurse and Case Manager with a strong passion for rehabilitative care, risk management, and patient-centred service delivery. She is dedicated to ensuring seamless transitions into rehabilitation and works closely with referring doctors, case managers, discharge planners and interdisciplinary teams to facilitate appropriate patient admissions and continuity of care.

Her focus is on supporting healthcare professionals and patients through efficient admission processes while promoting optimal rehabilitation outcomes. Through strong collaboration with hospitals and medical practitioners, she helps ensure that patients receive the right level of rehabilitative care at the right time.

When Mrs Hlongwa arrived at Life Hilton Private Hospital’s acute rehabilitation unit following a serious health event, walking independently seemed out of reach. Nearly three months later, she walked out of the unit with renewed confidence and independence.

Her recovery journey reflects the strength and determination of patients and the role that acute rehabilitation can play in helping people to regain function, mobility and quality of life after injury or illness.
