Questions We Hear Often 🀍
"Why does my hair need to be damp before wearing a Cold Cap?"
It's a great question, and the answer is quite simple.

Lightly dampening your hair before putting on your Cold Cap helps it fit more closely against your scalp. Better contact between the cap and your scalp allows the cooling to be distributed more evenly during treatment.

A quick tip: your hair should be damp, not dripping wet. A light mist of water is all that's needed before putting on the provided buff and your Cold Cap.
Sometimes it's the smallest steps that make the biggest difference.

If you have questions about Cold Cap therapy or would like guidance on using your cooling products, our team is always here to help. 🀍

When people think about the side effects of chemotherapy, hair loss is often the first thing that comes to mind.

But chemotherapy can also affect your fingernails and toenails, making them more fragile and, in some cases, causing nail damage or nail loss. It may also lead to symptoms of chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN), such as tingling, numbness or burning sensations in the hands and feet.
That's where cooling therapy can help.

Our Advanced Gel Cold Mitts and Cold Slippers are designed to provide targeted cooling during chemotherapy and may help reduce the risk of peripheral neuropathy, while also helping to minimise nail damage and nail loss during treatment.

If you'd like to learn more about our cold therapy products or find the right support for your treatment journey, we'd love to help.

Chemo Care Tip 🀍

Your skin and scalp may need a little extra kindness during chemotherapy.
Treatment can sometimes leave your skin feeling drier and more sensitive than usual, so keeping your routine simple and gentle can make a real difference.

Here are a few ways to care for your skin during treatment:
🀍 Moisturise daily with a gentle, fragrance-free moisturiser.
β˜€οΈ Protect your skin with sunscreen when spending time outdoors.
🧼 Choose mild skincare products that won't unnecessarily irritate sensitive skin.

To help care for your scalp and support healthy hair regrowth after treatment, consider incorporating a nourishing scalp serum, such as Hernuvin Scalp Serum, into your routine. A healthy scalp creates the best foundation for healthy hair.

Always speak to your healthcare team if you're unsure which products are best suited to your treatment plan.

Because caring for yourself isn't just about treatment.
It's about comfort, confidence and giving your body the kindness it deserves. 🀍

While tingling, numbness, burning sensations and pain can be common side effects of chemotherapy, they shouldn't be something you simply accept without asking for support.

If you're experiencing symptoms of chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN), speak to your oncology team. There are ways to help manage these side effects, and cold therapy may be one of them.

Our Advanced Gel Cold Mitts and Cold Slippers are designed to provide targeted cooling during chemotherapy and may help reduce the risk and severity of peripheral neuropathy, while also helping to minimise nail damage or nail loss.

You don't have to navigate treatment alone, and you don't have to suffer in silence.
Support starts with asking the right questions. 🀍

Peripheral neuropathy might sound like a complicated medical term, but it's actually quite simple.

It refers to damage or irritation of the nerves, which can sometimes happen as a side effect of chemotherapy. This is known as chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN).

For many people, it can feel like:
🀍 Tingling in the hands or feet
🀍 A burning sensation
🀍 Numbness
🀍 Pain or increased sensitivity

These symptoms can make everyday tasks, like buttoning a shirt, typing on your phone or taking a walk, feel more difficult than usual.

The good news? Cooling therapies, such as Cold Mitts and Cold Slippers, may help reduce the risk and severity of chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy when used during treatment.

Understanding what's happening in your body is the first step towards finding the right support.

Because when you know more, you can feel more prepared. 🀍

Our hands are part of so many everyday moments.

From making a cup of tea to sending a message, buttoning a shirt or holding the hand of someone you love, they're involved in the little things we often don't think twice about.

For some people undergoing chemotherapy, treatment may cause tingling, numbness, burning sensations or changes to the nails, making these everyday tasks more challenging.

Our Advanced Gel Cold Mitts are designed to provide targeted cooling support during treatment and may help reduce the risk of chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN), while also helping to minimise nail damage or nail loss.

Because comfort isn't just about easing symptoms.
It's about helping you keep doing the things that make each day feel a little more normal. πŸ’™

There are many ways to define strength.

Sometimes it's found in the big milestones.
Sometimes it's simply found in showing up for today's appointment, accepting help, or allowing yourself to rest.

This Women's Day, we're thinking of every woman navigating the challenges of chemotherapy and cancer treatment.

We hope you know that it's okay to have good days and difficult days. Both are part of the journey, and neither takes away from the incredible courage it takes to keep moving forward.

Today, and every day, we're here to support you with care, comfort and compassion. 🀍

Healing doesn't follow a schedule. 🀍

Some days you'll feel stronger than others. Some days, getting out of bed is enough. And some days, your body simply needs rest.

During chemotherapy, it's important to listen to what your body is telling you. Rest isn't giving up, and it isn't falling behind.
It's an important part of your healing journey.

So today, if all you've managed to do is rest, be gentle with yourself.
You're doing better than you think.

Medical words can sound intimidating, but they don't have to be.

Vasoconstriction simply means that your blood vessels temporarily become narrower when exposed to cold temperatures.

When a Cold Cap cools the scalp, this natural response may reduce the amount of chemotherapy medication that reaches the hair follicles.
The result? It may help reduce hair loss and support hair retention during treatment.

It's a simple concept with an important purpose: helping to make your treatment journey a little more comfortable.
