June 16 is not only a day we remember.
It is a day we are challenged.
In 1976, young people stood against injustice and changed the course of history. They demonstrated courage, conviction and an unwavering belief that a better future was possible.
Today, the question is different, but equally important:
What will we build with the opportunities they fought for?
At Cradle Impact, we believe the next chapter of Africa's story will not be written by spectators. It will be written by young people who choose purpose over apathy, resilience over excuses, and impact over limitation.
The legacy of June 16 is not simply resistance.
It is responsibility.
A responsibility to build stronger lives, stronger enterprises, stronger communities and stronger institutions that will serve generations to come.
May we honour their sacrifice not only by remembering history, but by creating it.
