The Blue Headed Tree Agamas are in their breeding colors at the moment. Some of the males are just stunning! If you are a resident at Die Oog or even just visiting at the moment - please be careful and drive a bit slower - these guys often sit in the middle of the road and bask in the sun - this has unfortunately resulted in some of our most attractive residents being flattened by cars over the past few weeks.

Received this message from our neighbor this morning: "Hallo Lana! Just wanted to send you a picture of the little pigmy kingfisher that flew into our window this morning. He fell on the paving, probably with light concussion. We gave him a little bit of water, but he still lay unconscious in Gideon's hand for a while. As we tried to put him on the garden wall, he flew in your direction. Have a lovely day, Rene." Too precious not to share!
