shout-out to our patient, Nicolaas Strydom, on being selected as part of the South African squad headed to Glasgow, Scotland next month to compete at the 2026 Commonwealth Games 🔥

An above the knee prosthetic device user in his day-to-day activities, Nicolaas competes in the seated field (F57) division and this will be his first time representing our country on an international stage!!

Feel Good Friday 🤩

We are so proud of these two!!

Photographed together last year on their way to the Pretoria Boys High School Matric Dance, Mukundi Mashamba and Kitso Mokolometso make a striking pair 💙

Both matriculated in 2025, Mukundi from Pretoria Girls High School and Kitso from Pretoria Boys High School and are now pursuing tertiary opportunities. They are also both former Jumping Kids beneficiaries, now charity role models, that we have seen grow up over the years.

There have been many follow-up consultations to maintain their prosthetic equipment, make new sockets, and run mobility tests through our work with Jumping Kids - not to mention many fundraising, community awareness, and sports events together where these two represented the charity alongside us.

A lovely indeed!!

Engaging in knowledge transfer activities, whenever possible, is important. Especially when it comes to creating awareness about the importance of applying the latest technology in prosthetics for child amputees who need the equipment to navigate home, school, and sport.

Have a look at this image from 2024 when we had the opportunity to demonstrate the process; from the manufacturing of a custom socket, to attaching components, to the final fitment; at the Sports Day event at SHAPA Sports Training Centre in Soweto, Gauteng, hosted by Jumping Kids and Nike.

It was another valuable opportunity to show that... equipped with the prosthetic tools they need, children who are prosthetic device users can be active and independent!!
