Physical interaction and movement can help improve memory in several ways.
When we physically engage with something instead of only thinking about it, the brain activates more areas involved in learning and recall. This is sometimes called embodied learning — the idea that the body and mind work together in remembering information. Hence the constant scrolling becomes dangerous and damaging to the human brain, though you are interacting - it is only through typing and mental conversations where you comment and converse with your mind.
